(5) Buying Intentions Survey

After disseminate the Concept Statement, i need to know how the potential customers respond or react to the new idea of business concept. I have to ask the following questions to determine the basic appeal of the service such as :

1. Does it make sense ? Is it reasonable ? Is it something consumers will get excited about ?
2. Does it take advantage of an environmental trend, solve a problem or take advantage of a gap in the marketplace?
3. Is it a good time to introduce the product or service to the market ?
4. Are there any fatal flaws in the product or service's basic design or concept ?

Then, i have to get feedback from potential customers by asking them to fulfill the Buying Intention Survey as below :

(4) Concept Statement

As i mentioned before, i have planned to setup new business on providing laundry services called SUE's LAUNDRY. All information about my idea on how to implement it became reality has been shown in the Business Concept Statement. I hope the business can be succeed. I will disseminate this Business Concept Statement to the closed friends and neighbor who lives at Presint 17RK2 and within Putrajaya to get the feedback with Buying Intention Survey. The Buying Intention Survey will be discuss in next post.

(3) Why SUE's LAUNDRY

Rational

Now a day’s a woman not only as a housewife but also as a working people. The times spend more on working rather than staying at home especially those who has a child. Not enough time is most problems among them and because of that they prefer doing laundry especially dry cleaning to become prominent due to their clean and shining clothes. The idea to setup the laundry service in Presint 17RK2 because the apartment is provided to all government servant who works in Putrajaya. All residents are working who living here. And off course working people usually don't have enough time to handle all by themselves due to limited of time.

Change of lifestyles due to increasing of disposal income levels also plays important roles. People right now doesn't matter to spend on their appearances in order to get dress up neatly. In stead of that, media also plays important roles especially magazines and television always update about fashion show and how to be properly dressed especially when attending any occasion and because of that, to make sure their dress in good condition, the easiest way is by using laundry services. They only need to pay at affordable price to get what they wanted effortlessly.

Since i lives at Presint 17RK2, i prefer to setup the laundry business here because there is only one laundry service operate in Presint 17RK1 nearby. I would like to take this advantage in order to serves better and the customer could have much more choice to choose for laundry services.

Putrajaya is a highly urbanized city since it serve as Federal Administrative Center of Malaysia. It can be seen that numerous government office, schools and establishment are spotted around the area urging to look for convenience due to their busy time. And this gives a positive outlook for some businessmen who were just started in the industry to put their investment in certain businesses particularly the Laundry business in which the field is not that much penetrated.

Usually the right name can make our company the talk of the town especially when it is unique and probably would catch their attention. But for me, the use of my name SUE’s LAUNDRY is most important to show that how passionate I am willing to serve the quality laundry service to the customers without any doubt so that the customers has no intention to move into another shop. And of course it is simply to remember.

The proposed business location is located at shop lot Presint 17RK2 area. This location is surrounded by government quarters (apartment), near to Primary Schools SKPP 17(1) and development of Project PPA1M Pudina nearby which is also apartments to the government staff for sale.

Service Description

The Business concept of SUE’s LAUNDRY is typically homogeneous to those other existing Laundry shops in the city. But certain things will make it stand and that includes its quality services, professionalism of its personnel towards its customers. 

(i) Quality Services

   The quality services really matters in SUE's Laundry. It is plan to provide services such as :

• washing, pressing, ironing and folding customer’s clothes garments including dry cleaning.
• removal the spots, by doing small repairs. 
• detergent and softener use also is hygienic and germs free.
• delivery services directly to the ‘customer’s doors’ on promise date upon demand. 
• using quality equipment and machinery that could greatly help and make the business exist. It shall offer affordable cleaning too, making sure that the output will reach its quality standard.

(ii) Professionalism Towards Customers

Personnel of the shop will surely build professional customer relationship. We will take care of each customer item with great respect since personal things are engaged in the business. Membership Services also provided whereby the customer need to pay sum money to be one of member that valid for a year to get the discount (10%) every time they using the services at SUE’s LAUNDRY. This is hopefully to build long term relationship with valued customers.

(2) Feasibility Analysis

In order to setup the business, the first things that i should do is by doing Feasibility Analysis. Feasibility Analysis is the process of determining whether a business idea is viable.

There are 4 forms of Feasibility Analysis :

(1)  Product / Service Feasibility
(2)  Industry / Target Market Feasibility
(3)  Organizational Feasibility
(4)  Financial Feasibility

During my first class on 22 August 2015, i have learned more about product / service feasibility analysis. For the beginning, i should make a Concept Statement in order to share the idea of the new business that i have plan to setup.
